All our previous articles introduced concepts in angular 4 and explained how a simple application is created using those concepts. We did not do anything for UI experience. We have to make our apps look beautiful. Angular provides a library called angular material which is a angular compatible version of google’s material design. We are installing angular material in this article.
Installing Angular Material:
These instructions are not different from instructions provided on official site. I am just trying to explain in concise manner.
Navigate to your working directory. In my case I am working on same app we saw in previous articles.
Install Angular Material:
run command npm install –save @angular/material. save options simply means downloaded dependencies will be included in our app’s package.json file.
Ignore the warnings they are coming because I have angular core 4.0.0 installed and angular material expects it to be 4.0.2.
Install Angular Animations:
This is required for some gestures to work.
